Producer: Bodegas Vista Alegre S.A., San Ignacio de Monterrico, Lime, Peru
UK agent: Peruvian Enterprises Ltd
US agent: Sangre Inca Imports LLC
Incorporated in 1857, Vista Alegre is the oldest pisco producer in Peru and has the largest vineyard holding too. This brand is made exclusively from Quebranta grapes from the noted Ica area.
Taste: The nose has oily, nutty notes but is dominated by bread and dough. The palate is delicate, aromatic and light, slightly oily in mouthfeel - far removed from any firewater expectations. Herbaceous and bbreedy notes build towards the finish.
